Brief Profile

Dr. Gondru Ramesh is currently working in Food Chemistry Division, ICMR−NIN, Hyderabad. He is interested in nutritional and phytochemical analysis of exotic or underutilized fruits and vegetables. He is also interested in evaluating the pharmaceutical importance and isolating bioactive natural products from wild food. Earlier, he worked in Environmental Monitoring & Exposure Assessment Division at ICMR−NIREH, Bhopal, till Jan−2023. He worked on Metal-Organic Frameworks for the adsorptive removal of aromatic volatile organic compounds. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal. During his doctoral degree, he worked extensively on synthesizing various new heterocyclic hybrids for medicinal chemistry applications and developed green protocols for synthesizing small bioactive molecules. He also worked as an Assistant Professor (Part-time) in the Department of Chemistry, University Arts & Science College, Kakatiya University, Warangal. He has a guide-ship in Chemistry from VIT−Bhopal and Barkatullah University, Bhopal. He is a regular member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and a life member of the Indian Council of Chemists (ICC).
